Leadership in the Trenches of the Health Benefits Industry

Chaos. I’m All In.

Chaos. That’s the title. But chaos doesn’t mean bad. It means something’s moving, evolving into something new and different. For me, I’ve always been the kind of person who likes to be right in the middle of it.

Growing up, chaos wasn’t a concept; it was just the backdrop. Life didn’t hand me a roadmap, and I sure didn’t take the straight path to where I am now. I figured out early on that if I wanted anything to change, I had to try to make it happen. Being part of the solution is the mindset I’ve carried into this industry every day since.

The System is Flawed, That’s Why We Show Up

The health benefits industry isn’t neat or simple, and for most people, it isn’t working the way it should. The gaps and the frustrations are real. So are the stories of members being blindsided by bills they don’t understand, employers trying to manage rising costs without sacrificing care, and brokers stuck recycling the same playbook year after year. The system is noisy and messy, but that’s not a reason to give up on it; it’s a reason to dig deeper.

My role as President & Chief Sales Officer at ClaimChoice has never been to chase trends or check boxes. My mission is to roll up my sleeves and get into the engine room of health benefits, where the real work needs to be done. Not to produce surface-level fixes, but to understand the root issue and build up from there. The real risk is in staying comfortable while the system keeps breaking beneath us.

What “All In” Means to Me

What my philosophy of being “All in” means to me is owning it when things don’t go right, staying up late to get the answer no one else wants to chase, and having a team who knows

that when something needs to get done, I’ll be right there with them, making it happen. It means standing up for the people we serve, even when it’s uncomfortable or complicated.

Leading with Clarity, Urgency, and Purpose

I believe in this industry. And I believe in slow, steady progress. Not by pretending the chaos isn’t there, but by stepping into it with clarity, urgency, and purpose. That’s how we build trust and change the narrative. That’s how we make healthcare work for real people again.

So, if you’re tired of waiting for change that never comes, then maybe it’s time to get in the engine room with us.

We’re not here to sell a trend. We’re here to fix what’s broken and find solutions that work for everyone. And I’m all in.
